Richard Dozier, Ph.D.,President, CEO & FounderDr. Dozier holds an earned Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Global Leadership from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL., a Master’s and Bachelor Degree from Hampton University in Hampton, VA, in Guidance & Counseling and Vocational Rehabilitation (M.A.), and Political Science with Minors in Psychology and Sociology (B.A.), respectively.


His career as an educator extends over 30 years at various colleges and universities in several capacities with increasing responsibilities including:

The recipient of numerous awards, he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Phi Delta Kappa Professional Fraternity, and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. He hosted the local television shows Switching Channels, in New Haven, and Coleman & Company in Elmira, NY. He was the chair for the Board of Governors of Redemptive Life Academy and Preschool in West Palm Beach, FL. A published author; Education of a Native Son, Dr. Dozier is a licensed and ordained minister and former Associate Pastor, Second Baptist Church in Columbia, MO, Pastor, First Baptist Church of Brunswick, MO., and Assistant Pastor of New Day Ministry in Elmira, NY.

Love Dozier-JacksonVice PresidentLove Jackson holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts in Residential Property Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. A licensed Notary Public, CT.


As an Assistant Developer with the leading private sector affordable housing owners and developers in the nation, Ms. Jackson was responsible for small scale properties to massive neighborhood transformations with Michaels Development Company. She has in-depth knowledge, expertise and experience in:

  • Preparing grant applications for competitive funding under federal Stimulus Bill
  • Preparing response to Requests for Proposals and Qualifications
  • Developing project budget(s) and with Analytics to develop financial model
  • Manage project due diligence through planning, approval and implementation.
  • Establish post-development model and appropriate staffing
  • Oversee planning and construction work to ensure timely and on-budget performance.
  • Review and recommend modifications to approved scope.
  • Report on progress of project, expenditures, progress on milestones to owners
  • An experienced real estate agent, Ms. Jackson holds the following certifications from Neighbors Work America:
  • Certified Housing Education Instructor
  • Loss Mitigation Counselor, and
  • Certified Housing Counselor

Shekinah’s Achievement was founded in 1990, when Dr. Dozier wrote his first grant to secure funding from Connecticut State University System (CSU) for the first Minority Workshop for the employees. Three years later the workshop was renamed to the Global Majority Retreat and expanded to include all minority employees in public and private higher education in the State of Connecticut. Since that time Dr. Dozier has worked with several public and private institutions and organizations regarding grants and workshops. To date he has successfully secured over $12 million in grant funding.
